A reported statement from Jacque Bermejo's brother surfaced defending his sister and stating arguments implying Bermejo's innocence. The validity of all these remarks (including Jacque's) are yet to be verfied. Jacque Bermejo's brother's statement are as follows:

The Brother's Official Statement
ok! it all started sa Friendster last year 2008, my sister told me that her account was hacked by someone mad at her prolly inggit or may galit... she really doesn't know or what's the reason why she has been hacked, of corse she's pissed off because this person keeps messing up her friendster profile. So, hinayaan lang ng sister ko yun, since wala nmn xang alam sa social networking or kung ano man, she's a working woman na at wala xang panahon magfriendster.
Ngayon naman this issue has been spreading about her posting such harsh words:
"buti n lg am hir in dubai maybe so many sinners bak der!so year deerving wat happend!"
We came from a PROVINCE and part of a political family. Why in the world will my ate as a filipino disgrace our family and citizen, sana po wag muna kayo manghusga.
Hintayin lang po sana ung explaination, for she doesn't have internet nor load right now, its around 3am-4am at dubai, and I have hard times contacting her myself.
By now, her side must have realized the magnitude of this issue. A statement is needed to calm the raging people. Damage control is needed.
We should be aware of the power of our online presence and personalities. A hacked account poses heavy liabilities. May this be a lesson to all. I hope that more light will be shed on the matter soon.

ReplyDeletefrankly, that's the oldest excuse in the book. once you make a blunder on the net, just say it wasn't you but some hacker who got in your account or someone used your pc. i'll give her the benefit of the doubt though. i hope it really wasn't her. i can just imagine how troubled she and her family are right now.
ReplyDeletebut trace the IP number of where the post came from. if it leads to her pc, then God help her.
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is, there are other Filipinos saying stuff like this. Just look at the last line of this woman: http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showpost.php?p=38086654&postcount=33. Buwiset, diba?
ReplyDeleteSaying that she was hacked is the most convenient excuse. Unless there's proof, no one's going to take that.
it's her acct..she is responsible for it..whether it was hacked or not..no time to open her friendster?ba't may facebook na naman siya. if she can't be responsible enough to take care and protect her acct, sana wag na lang siya gumawa ng acct niya.nangyari na pala sa friendster niya tapos hinayaan na naman niyang mangyari sa fb niya..it's a damn alibi..ayusin mo yan jacque..and to her brother, good job on defending your sister pero not quite..mag-apologize na lang siya sa mga pinoys na nilait niya especially those who were devastated by the storm guilty or not guilty..and pls pray..it helps.

ReplyDeleteyour absolutely right, trace the IP when and where the message was posted. at least if it appears to be in an impossible location for jacque to be, then maybe she'e really innocent. Its not that I'm on his side but, still there are possibilities that her accounts were hacked. We all know, as Filipinos, whatever our race is, whatever our religion is, we are bounded with something in common, and that is our own king and understanding heart. But please, let us not judge her immediately, let her speak up. Hate will do nothing but to infuse more hate. Let us seek first to understand why this happened. If she really did post that comment, then let's pray for her, God knows all, He sees all.
how would it be hacked, if her sister is saying na educated ate nya UP pa mandin..for sure alam din nya siguro mag secure ng password nya... sya talaga un deny deny pa.. for all we know parang santa BAKA KUNG ANO lang ginagawa nyan sa dubai
ReplyDeleteI think congress or senate should pass a resulution declaring this person " PERSONA NON GRATA"
i dont think so na nahacked ang account nya..playing safe lng sila...kung talagang hindi sha un..dubai pa ang mura2 ng load at anywhere may wifi/my cafe imposibleng hindi sha ggawa ng paraan para linisin ang sarili nya..gaano ba sha kasamang tao para sirain sha ng ganun...do something..para malinis ang pangalan nila..
ReplyDeleteang pinakaimpact nito sa akin is tagaUP xa.. ohmy. sakit nun sa mga tgaUP.. iskolar ng bayan nainvolve sa ganitong issue if it was horribly true, or at the very least smeared if it was false..
ReplyDeleteeither way it's a lose-lose situation.
